Every day manufacturing processes cause waste to be released into out environment. The effect of pharmaceutical waste can also effect the organisms in the region in greater ways than mere trash.For this assignment you should read the article. This article provided great insight into one of the general effects of man on the environment. Dumping pharmaceuticals into water imposes many problems not only to Americans and their drinking water, but to the animals that live in water. If we disturb many of the aquatic animals and their environment, that could eventually produce devastating effects to humans. Although many people believe that doing things such as flushing their unused prescriptions is the best way to go, there are several other ways to dispose of pharmaceuticals that are not as dangerous. Overall, the effects of man change our environment, mostly not for the better.
ReplyDeleteMain Effects of Man on the EnvironmentThis article on the effects of man on the environment sums up many of the causes and effects of this subject. Although it is a shorter article, it highlights some of the dangerous causes of cases such as the Greenhouse Effect. Besides the release of toxins into water, it also describes other effects such deforestation and pollution through several areas. It also introduces the idea of eutrophication which is basically an abundance of nutrients in a body of water that encourages the growth of algae and other organisms, but depletes the water of oxygen in the summer eventually leading to extinction of many species.

This article on dumping pharmaceuticals is very improtant, and effecting out environment and our own lives. The water humans get their fish from might be infecting therefore making us sick. Not only are we at danger for drugs being in these waters the animals living in this environment are at risk also to loose their own lives. Dumping is not a good way of throwing away drugs that are harful, they need to be flushed out so that the fish and humans do not get ill. humans started fooling with the environment and now other innocent people are paying the cost.

Wow! This is really scary! But this article on dumping pharmaceuticals is very important to us and to other species as well. The fish in the contaminated water are not only sick themselves but when we eat them we can get sick. The drinking water also gets tainted by the dumping of pharmaceuticals. This can hurt both us, the environment, and the animals living near drinking water.

It also explains deforestation and how we destroy trees for our own selfish needs without planting new one in place of the ones we take. If you click on the links in this web site it also talks about the green house effect and global warming. I think that it is horrible that human destroy the earth and don’t even really care. I hope that in the future we can find better ways of doing things so we don’t harm the environment as much as we do now. If we don’t do anything about this problem the effects will increase and we will not only kill off many species of plants and animals but will also being hurting ourselves in the process.

global warming, pollution, now this. everyone of us is to blame. while everyone "knows" its "our" fault, we say our fault like it means their fault. we try to place the blame on us but we dont really blame ourselves. this problem however, there is not really anything we can do. Cme says that we have to do something. thats the problem. WHAT ARE WE GUNNA DO ABOUT IT. its all talk. and seriously, global warming? am i the only one that's noticed how cold its been lately? you cant run from something that doesnt exist. this problem does, what are we gunna do about it. its the governments responsibility not ours, talking and BLOGGING ABOUT IT isnt gunna do [bad word for poop] to change it. the government knows and if they were gunna do anything about it they would. but no. theyre to busy with making sure that the us is the most disliked country in the world and conducting crazy expensive science experiments that give us no information on stuff that actually matters.

ReplyDeleteThis article was about large drug manufacturing companies who dump their pharmacetical wastes into our nations' watersupply. It also explains most cities dont have a test to see if their water is contaminated and it goes untreated. These wastes come from many dangerous drugs to humans and fish alike such as phenol and hydrogen peroxide which are toxic to the environment and lithium carbonate which comes from lithium and is somewhat lethal to fish.

Most of this waste is dumped occurs in hospitals and health clinics via the drain. Testing of the nation's water for this waste is crucial yet at many large drug companies such as AstraZeneca rarely or poorly done. To help combat this the government must put more restrictions and requirements on dumping in major factories.

i think it is stupid that the drug marders are just dumping there drugs in the water. an it turns out that the goverment is doing nothing to stop this because the goverment is on their side. you could be drinking water that has lithium and nitroglycerin and copper in it and you would never know it.

In the article above it talks about waste pollution in the major water ways like oceans,lakes and rivers.In the article it shows how the government and the drug makers have overlooked the pollution that they have caused, the government by not caring about it and the drug makers not wanting to admit what theere doing. The drug makers haved realesed 271 million pounds of drugs in our major water ways. The ingredinets in some of the drugs are lithum,nitrogecric and copper.

There is up to 90% of west Africa's coastal rain forest destroyed and disappered due to deforesation. Deforesation is the cutting down the forest, this consits of trees in the rainforests. As the trees get cut down in the rainforest the carbon dioxide levels increase as do the pollutes in the air. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas which among other gases build up and pollute the atmosphere.

Well i personally think that these companys should not be able to realease these toxins into water because its stupid. The person that said they were aloud to do this is an idiot because he is allowing these people to hurt our environment. the article says that they have realesed about 270 million pounds of the drug wastes in to many big areas of water.
